Shoes Full of Feet Mission Statement

To offer windows to other worlds, put dreams on the screen, and allow people reflections of themselves by making movies that audiences want to see over and over again, and by creating a legacy of timeless entertainment through quality filmmaking.

SHOES FULL OF FEET, INC. is a company that desires to experience the many adventures life holds through the medium of film. These adventures will take many forms and will be discovered along well-worn paths as well as those that have been less travelled. SHOES is a Canadian film production company committed to a strong and profitable domestic film industry. The company principles, Kris Booth, Bryce Mitchell and Raj Panikkar believe if something is worth doing, it is worth doing right.

SHOES is a home for artists to practice and hone their craft, a place to produce works of art that are universal in appeal, commercially viable and that stand the test of time. It is a collaborative environment, proudly Canadian, and able to transcend international borders to draw upon the strengths of talented individuals ideal for the development of specific projects.

Currently, SHOES FULL OF FEET is developing the light-hearted feature film “THE LEFTOVER BANDIT”, which completed the National Screen Institute’s Features First program in 2004, and has received development financing from The Harold Greenberg Fund and Telefilm Canada. ‘BANDIT’ is the ideal project for SHOES’ feature film debut. The story is heart-felt and honest, it is emotional, and it is challenging. It also possesses incredible potential to become a domestic box office success.

To date SHOES has produced a total of seven short films: “NO MAN’S LAND”, “DAY OF THE CARP”, “GIRL ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD”, “HER LAST PARTY”, “THE CLOCK IS TICKING”, “SAFE” and “FOR ALL THE MARBLES”. “NO MAN’S LAND” won the Norman Jewison Filmmaker’s Award in 2000, while “DAY OF THE CARP” won the Best Screenplay award at the NYIIFV Festival that same year. “THE CLOCK IS TICKING” has played at several film festivals, including FilmExchange (2004) in Winnipeg, the Nickel Festival (2004) in St. John’s, and the Canadian Filmmaker’s Festival (2004) in Toronto. “SAFE” was produced with a grant from the OMDC Al Waxman Calling Card program and has played at the World Film Festival – Montreal (2004), the Palm Springs International Festival of Short Film (2004), the Nickel (2005), the Canadian Filmmakers Festival (2005), and the Edmonton International Film Festival (2005). “FOR ALL THE MARBLES” screened at the Canadian Filmmakers Festival in 2006.

SHOES also produced the documentary “GEEKS IN GHANA” and is developing the feature films “THURSDAYS” and “MISTLETOE”, slated to be the second and third features from the team.
